The Downtown 3 is a new collaboration among three major Lower Manhattan arts institutions: 3LD Art & Technology Center, Dance New Amsterdam, and HERE Arts Center. We are united by our shared aesthetic and artistic philosophies, which merges dance, theatre, and technology to create new and innovative modes of expression. The Downtown 3 Punchcard provides deeply discounted admission to all three venues, offering audiences an affordable way to experience risk-taking performance in Lower Manhattan’s alternative arts scene.

In June 2008, HERE re-launches a renovated facility including two theaters and a cafe / gallery space. HERE's aesthetic represents the independent, the innovative, and the experimental: HERE has developed such acclaimed works as Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues and Basil Twist's Symphonie Fantastique. |

In just 20 months since opening, it has had over 900 resident artists, such as Laurie Anderson, The Builders Association, Troika Ranch, and Collapsible Giraffe, among many others, as well as become a hub for the development of innovative artistic technology. |
